3rd-5th grade Music

My name is Mindy DeVries, and I teach 3rd-5th grade vocal and general music at Ballard East. I grew up in Ames, Iowa (Go, Cyclones!). I graduated with a Music Education Degree from Iowa State in 2003, and received my Masters in Music Education from University of Northern Iowa in 2009. I thoroughly enjoy teaching this age group because of the excitement and willingness to try new things! Besides preparing students for 2 concerts per year (in December and May), I also include units of folk dancing, American music, jazz music, solfege singing, xylophones, hand drums, and piano keyboards! I live in Huxley with my husband and four children!
