Mrs. Schipper's Kindergarten

Hi There! My name is Kylie Schipper and I am a kindergarten teacher at Ballard West Elementary.

I graduated from Roland-Story High School, then attended Central College and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in early childhood, special education and reading. I began my teaching career in Lone Tree, Iowa teaching three and four-year-old preschool.

In 2016, my family relocated to Ankeny to be closer to our family. I was thrilled to be hired in such a highly respected school district, and love being a teacher at Ballard West! I live in Ankeny with my husband, Leland, our children, Auden and Nola, and our fur baby, Luna. My husband works for North High School as an instructional coach and also coaches boys soccer at North. We love going on outdoor adventures, soccer, listening to good music, stand-up paddle boarding and spending time with family!
