Hi! My name is Erin Denker. I am very excited to be the EK-2 school counselor at Ballard West Elementary!

I grew up in Western Iowa and earned my Bachelor's degree at the University of Iowa. Go Hawks! I moved to North Carolina for 7 years where I got my Master's degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a counselor, I've worked with students in many different grade levels from Kindergarten to 8th grade!

When I'm not teaching, I love to be outside! I go running with my dog, explore parks, and gardening in my backyard. When it is too hot (or too cold!) to be outside, you'll find me reading, listening to music, or watching a movie.
