2024-1Q: [CRM] Search Mode for Custom Fields

A new feature has been added to enhance the 'search' functionality for customers based on 'Custom Fields'. 

Once this feature is setup from the Custom Fields Settings section, a Search bar will appear on the Customer Search Page, for the chosen Custom field.

This will work for Custom Fields that have been entered manually, or pushed through via API.

In this example, we will make use of 'Zone Status' Custom Field.

To make use of this feature:


 1. Go to Settings > Custom Fields, form the top menu bar and then scroll across to "Search Mode", for the Custom Field you would like to be able to search for, on the Customer Search Page

 2. There will be three options to choose from: Off, Select & Type and Dropdown List ('Off' being the default)

  a) Off - No Search Mode for Custom Field

  b) Select & Type - The Custom Field will appear in the list, as one of the options to search for. This is a flexible option and allows you to type part of the Custom Field record and it should find all matches:

   c) Dropdown List - The Custom Field will appear as a dropdown list, with specific options to choose from:
