2021-1Q: [ACC] Auto-assigning Groups from Subscriptions

A new feature has been added allowing the ability of automatically assigning a customer to a group based on a specific product or multiple products.

An operator can make use of this feature when a product or selection of products require that customer accounts are treated in the same way.

To make use of this feature:

1. Go to => Settings => Groups

2. Select or create the Group and click on "Settings"

Fig 1: Customer Group Settings

3. Scroll to the "Auto assign" Section

3a. Mode

There are 3 options

  • Disabled

  • Enabled: Add group

In this mode when a customer has a subscription with a particular product already added under their account (that is defined in the next option "Products") they will be added to this group automatically.

If this product is removed from the customer account or if there is already a customer assigned to this group without a matching product they will remain in this group.

  • Enabled: Full Synchronize (Add/Modify/Remove)

This selection will add a customer to a group when they have a specific product / s under their account. It will also remove a group if a customer no longer has these products under their subscriptions.

If this product is removed from the customer account or if there is already a customer assigned to this group without a matching product they will be removed from this group (if not immediately then during an overnight scan).

3b. Products

This is a multi selection field

All the products for which the group is to be auto assigned should be selected here. There can be multiple products that trigger group auto assignment.

To select more than one product make a selection and hold down CTRL to select any others you wish to add.
