2013-4Q (v002): SAND: Product based Time of Day Usage Exemption

A new feature has been added to the SIMPLer system that allows Operators to define product based time of day usage exemption. That feature works similarly to the global Time of Day Usage Exemption feature but it can be enabled on a per product level. It means that each customer that has an active subscription to the product with the usage exemption defined will benefit from a free usage (i.e. usage will not be counted against a customer's monthly CAP during the period defined).

To enable the feature, you must navigate to the WISP settings and enable the flag called "Product Based Usage Exemption" as shown in Fig. 1.

The chosen product must be updated with the period of usage exemption as shown in Fig. 2 below: (located on the "modify product" screen). Assign the product to your customer.

Notes: The feature works independently of the customer defined time of day usage exemption. The only requirements are to firstly enable the product based usage exemption Setting, define the usage exemption for the product. Finally, add the product to a customer's account as a subscription.
