Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law Assembly Bill 1825, mandating sexual harassment training for supervisors.

AB 1825 requires all employers with 50 or more employees to provide supervisors with training and education. The training must be provided by educators with expertise in the prevention of harassment, discrimination and retaliation. There must be two hours of classroom or other “effective interactive training and education.”

This two hour workshop/training will

  1. teach supervisors their obligations under the current sexual harassment laws.
  2. analyze what constitutes a complaint of sexual harassment.
  3. cover relevant federal and state laws and guidelines.
  4. explain prohibitions against and the prevention and correction of sexual harassment.
  5. describe remedies available to victims of sexual harassment.
  6. give actual “curve ball” situations and scenarios that supervisors might face.
  7. be interactive.
  8. award certificates of completion.
