Summer Reading

Dear Parents,

We would like to continue the momentum of reading that is instilled throughout the year and enable students “to become independent, information literature, life-long learners.” ALA website.

This summer we will be collaborating with the Avon Public Library. The reading theme is called,"On Your Mark Get Set Read!!!"
We would love our students to participate in the public library’s summer reading club, designed to encourage students to continue the reading “habit”.

Please visit the public library to pick up your reading log. Each week, visit the library with the titles entered on your log so that your log can be stamped and a prize collected.

Check the library's website at:

Summer Reading Log and Summer Reading Flyer

    In the Fall:

On your first day of school, bring your log to your new teacher. For your good reading, the teacher will give the log to the librarian and a reading certificate will be awarded.
