The Austrian Robot-Kicker (TU Vienna/UAS Technikum Vienna) successfully placed 3rd at the RoboCup German Open 2010 in Magdeburg. It is the largest European tournament in robotic soccer in which 12 teams out of 6 nations attended.

The Austrian Kangaroos had a perfect start and finished the preliminary rounds as group winner. A little off-time was compensated by several night shifts. Especially the goalkeeper reached top-form towards the end of the tournament and vaporised quite some teams the hope for the finals by delivering an astonishing performance.

Only in the semi finals of that quasi "European Championships" the Vienna team was defeated by the team NimbRo from Bonn in an exciting 3:1 match. Just to beat team Humboldt from Berlin in in the little final with 2:0. Hope has been risen for the World Championships in Singapore end of June.
