We are honored to have him visit Crockett just as his latest book, The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik is being released! It's April! It's School Library Month!

Long Way Down is an amazing book, available in the Crockett Library and on Overdrive. 
Synopsis: 
Fifteen-year-old Will's big brother has been shot and killed. According to the rules that Will has been taught, it is now his job to kill the person responsible. He easily finds his brother's gun and gets on the elevator to head down from his eighth-floor apartment. But it's a long way down to the ground floor. At each floor, a different person gets on to tell a story. Each of these people is already dead. As they relate their tales, readers learn about the cycle of violence in which Will is caught up. The protagonist faces a difficult choice.

Author  Lunch Visit

Young Adult Fiction author Jennifer Mathieu visited during a "Lunch in the Library" author visit this past September. Ms. Mathieu spoke about her latest book, Moxie and the process behind writing it and her previous books, The Truth About Alice and Afterward. She also signed books for students and left us a ton of book swag!

MakerSpace?

At the end of last year we cleared books, set up new furniture and tables, put down a floor covering, got electrical service and moved MakerSpace equipment and materials - including 3D printers and an animation studio - in to the space! What's a MakerSpace? Here's some info:
