I currently teach for ACC in the department of Student Development. I have also taught Sociology, Mexican American Studies, and Cultural Foundations at UT Austin and St. Edward's University. Additional professional experience includes learning spaces, instructional design, curriculum development, and training.  I earned my MA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002, and my BA from Rice University in 2000, both in Sociology. 

Outside of my work in higher education, I am also a Certified Jazzercise Instructor, avid reader, design enthusiast, DIY addict, and loyal patron of the Austin music scene.
