Heathe Stecklein (Director of Theare Arts)
Heathe was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. After receiving a BA in Musical Theatre with a writing minor from the University of Northern Colorado, he moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor and singer. Heathe spent almost ten years in New York with great experiences performing in NYC and throughout the east coast but realized that he was unfulfilled and began to reflect on the calling for his life. After thinking about the impact that both of his parents made as teachers, he realized that teaching was the best way for him to use his talents and gifts to help others. Heathe then completed his MA in Secondary English education from Brooklyn CUNY and taught English and theatre in Brooklyn before returning to Aurora to teach and direct. Favorite performance credits include the title role in Pippin, Jesus in Godspell, Danny in Baby, Jinx in Forever Plaid, Harry in Lucky Stiff, and Fred in a National Tour of A Christmas Carol. This is the fifth season for PEAK Players and Heathe is thrilled to continue his journey with the students at Vista PEAK Preparatory. Heathe would like to thank the administration at Vista PEAK for all of their support of the performing arts; Elizabeth, Kory, and Gabe for their dedication and friendship; and his wife, Lori, and family for their love and support.
