AUDUBON BANDS

Audubon Jr./Sr. High School is very proud of its Instrumental Music Department. The various ensembles offered are: Junior High Concert Band (Grades 7 and 8, meets daily as a class), Senior High Concert Band (Grades 9-12, meets daily as a class), Marching Band (open to Grades 8 - 12 with Grade 7 by invitation only), and Jazz Band (Grades 9-12 with JH members by invitation only). The Marching Band meets from the early summer to the end of November during after school hours. The Jazz Band meets from January thru May after school as well. Rehearsals for those groups are at various times (most in the evenings) - more information can be found using the menu on the left. Also, a newer course offering will be Percussion Ensemble (Grades 8-12, class that meets daily). This class will run if there are at least 5 students registered for the class each year.

Music Theory is also offered every other school year, and is a music class that is highly recommended for students considering majoring in music in college.

Students who participate in any of the various school instrumental music ensembles are also eligible to audition for any of the Region Bands that occur throughout the school year (All-South Jersey, All-State, etc.)

The JH Concert Band, SH Concert Band, and Percussion Ensemble are curricular programs that students select as an elective. Both bands perform at the Winter and Spring Concert, as well as other possible events throughout the school year.
