Tarek H. Selim, PhD

Professor of Business Economics and Strategy at the American University in Cairo

Dr. Selim is an international consultant spanning 25 years of academic and professional experience in industry studies, markets and competition, game theory, business strategy, and cost-benefit analysis. He has been visiting researcher at the Industrial Performance Center at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and faculty affiliate to the Harvard Business School Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network. He is a founding member of the Alfred P. Sloan Industry Studies Association at the University of Pittsburg, and co-founder of the Egyptian Center for Global Governance and Development. He is a research fellow of the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and has been Senior Economic Advisor to the Egyptian Competition Authority.
