Musical Excellence - Leadership - Service - Pride
The ARHS music department is dedicated to providing an extraordinary music education for all students within our community.
Students need to have experience in creating, to be successful musicians and to be successful 21st century citizens.
Students need to perform – as singers, as instrumentalists, and in their lives and careers.
Students need to respond to music, as well as to their culture, their community, and their colleagues.
Dear Parent/s,
As our school year begins, I would like to welcome you and your family into the music community here at Auburn Riverside High School. We are very excited to have you here, and want to take this time to celebrate not only the hard work your child will put into the next year in music class, but also the skills that they will develop through their experiences in their ensemble. The lifelong benefits your child will obtain through music expand beyond the classroom and are transferable to every other academic subject. If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of music education, I would encourage you to visit: nafme.org.
I also wanted to let you know about the various ways you can get involved in your child’s musical journey this year.
Fundraising Opportunities
School Board Meetings
Chaperoning Various Trips
Encouraging your student to practice, practice, practice
I would be delighted to go into detail about these opportunities with you in person, and I look forward to meeting you. Again, welcome to the musical family and I look forward to meeting you!
Musically yours,
Raven Music Staff
