Welcome to A.T. Still University's University Writing Center

https://www.clipart.email/

The University Writing Center has a NEW website!

Click here (and bookmark it) to find everything you need to get started using the

Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition),

the AMA Manual of Style (11th edition), and

much, much more!!!

As of June 30, 2020, this original website will no longer be updated but will still be available for students who need to access the materials created using the 6th edition of the APA manual to finish their dissertations, DRPs, capstones, practicum reports, and ARPs.

The UWC is a free academic support service for current ATSU students and accepts documents for review 24 hours Monday-Saturday. The UWC does not accept submissions on Sunday. You may leave us a voicemail message at 660.626.2228.

The UWC offers:

      • Document review (papers, case studies, main discussion posts)
      • English-as-a-second language writing assistance
      • Guideline compliance checks for final dissertations and DRPs
      • Tutorial on the Proper Use of Sources

The UWC is staffed with professional editors, writers, and educators who have experience in health-care writing and editing, or TOEFL/ESL.

To submit a document for review, send an email with an MS Word file attachment and your program name in the message line to writingcenter@atsu.edu. Students requesting ESL assistance should type ATTN: ESL in the subject line of email submissions.

      • Documents fewer than 20 pages are returned in 24 hours; 20-49 pages in 48 hours; over 50 pages within 72 hours. Compliance checks for DRPs can take up to 5 business days; dissertations require at least 10 business days (in both Spring and Fall Block 2, it may take longer).
      • Documents are reviewed only once. Exception: Assignments that "build" over a term or program (e.g. tDPT capstones, ARPs). Those individual assignments will be reviewed once and then the final document will be reviewed once.
      • Submissions are reviewed on a first-come/first-served basis.
      • Documents must be submitted as Microsoft Word documents with a title page identifying the student and the course. WE DO NOT REVIEW FILES IN POWERPOINT, PUBLISHER, OR PDF FORMATS.
