ATSU Security will prepare a Campus Alert to immediately notify the Campus community upon the confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or staff. The alerts provide details of the crime, description of the suspect (if known), date and time bulletin was released, information on whom to contact about the investigation, often crime prevention tips, and other relevant and important information.
The alerts will be immediately distributed throughout Campus, through the warning plans, procedures, and alerts using a multilevel approach with various tools and technologies available at the time to quickly disseminate the information Campus wide at the time of and best suited for the specific incident.
Anyone with information warranting a timely warning should report the circumstances to the University Security Department at 660.626.2380 or in person at the office in the Wright Building at 211 W. McPherson. If no one is available in the departmental office, dial the Security cell phone 33 from an on-campus phone or 660.349.9513.
