"Imagination is more important than knowledge." Albert Einstein

Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.

Our objective this year:
The curriculum for English is aligned to the standards in the Common Core. Common Core sees a larger focus on critical thinking skills that are relevant to the real world. Throughout the year, students will practice and improve their reading, writing, language, and speaking and listening skills. The standards can be found: http://www.corestandards.org/ELA-Literacy/

About Me:
I look forward to learning all about you, so here's a little about me.  I've taught language arts for over 15 years, have Bachelor's Degree in English from Cal Poly as well as a Master's Degree in Education.  I love meeting new people, cherishing family and friends, and learning new things.  I enjoy hiking, playing golf, singing, spoiling my two dogs and travelling to new places.
