CJSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester. In order to become a member, the student must submit an on-time application each semester the student is eligible. A point system specified in the CJSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements.  In addition to strong academics, CJSF membership focuses on service to school and community.

Applications are accepted early in fall and spring semesters.  Eighth grade students can apply in fall and spring semesters.  Seventh graders may apply for spring semester only.  Sixth graders are not able to join. The application for the fall semester will open in September.  Only 8th graders are permitted to apply in fall.  Current members must re-apply again now to maintain membership. 

*Spring 2019 application (7th + 8th grade only) is now open.  This application will close January 16th.

Founded in 1967, CJSF fosters high standards of scholarship, service and citizenship in the middle school grades. Like CSF, CJSF emphasizes service to the school and the community while fostering pride in scholastic achievement. In recent years the rapid growth of the California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) has greatly strengthened CSF.
