2/19: New paper published in Climatic Change
My new paper with Susanne Moser, James Arnott, and Emily Jack-Scott has been published online in the journal Climatic Change. For this study, we conducted a meta-analysis of review papers on resilience across academic disciplines to identify emerging themes. We also develop a categorization of different interpretations of this contested concept, which we argue can structure more productive trans-disciplinary dialogue.

My new paper with Zhenzhen Zhang, Joshua Newell, and Mark Lindquist has been published in Urban Forestry & Urban Greening. Focusing on Detroit, the study develops a systematic approach for planning and expanding urban green space networks to enhance landscape connectivity and maximize social and ecological benefits by taking advantage of vacant and underused land. My new paper with Sierra Woodruff, Missy Stults, and Chandler Wilkins has been published online in JPER. In the study we evaluate city resilience plans and compare them with climate change adaptation plans. Check out the full article here or read my Nature of Cities blog post summarizing the research here.
9/18: NSF Research project funded
I was recently awarded a two-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to study urban flood resilience planning with two colleagues at Texas A&M University. The award details and project abstract are available on the NSF website here.
