ABOUT THE FORENSIC ENTOMOLOGY WEIDNER LAB

The Forensic Entomology Weidner Lab (FEWL) is a forensic entomology lab located on the ASU West Campus and housed under the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences School of Mathematical & Natural Sciences.

The lab is run by Dr. Lauren Weidner, a board certified forensic entomologist. The research conducted in the FEWL focuses on the biodiversity of forensically important blow flies in Arizona, their larval morphology and factors that impact their development. FEWL also conducts research pertaining to decomposition ecology. Dr. Weidner's interests also extend to using insects in wildlife forensics.
