ASU Child Development Laboratory

Welcome to the ASU Child Development Lab Homepage!

As part of Arizona State University's T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, the Child Development Lab plays an integral role in the university's threefold mission of teaching, research, and service.

The center is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (NAC). The center also has a contract with the Department of Economic Security to provide childcare assistance to eligible families. ASU Student parents may also be eligible to receive assistance with child care cost by applying for the CCAMPIS Care Program.  More information about either of these programs is available at the center.

The CDL provides carefully supervised training opportunities for child development students pursuing careers serving children and families. CDL children and families have a unique opportunity to participate in various research studies conducted by faculty and graduate students (Participation is always voluntary).

The Child Development Lab follows the criterion for best practices in early care and education espoused by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The Child Development Lab provides a model of quality education and care for young children, and offers training opportunities and technical assistance for state and local early childhood professionals.
