ACT

The ACT test is accepted by most four-year colleges and universities for admission.

The ACT test is not offered at AHS during the year, but is available to take in many local schools.

This test consists of English (45 minutes), Math (60 minutes), Reading (40 minutes), Science (40 minutes) and Writing (40 minutes).  

Cost: $42.50 for basic test, $58.50 for ACT PLUS with writing (recommended).  Fee waivers are available in the counseling office.

October 22nd, 2016 (register by September 16th) Knappa High School
December 10th, 2016 (register by November 4th) Ilwaco High School
February 11th, 2017 (register by January 13th) Ilwaco High School
April 8th, 2017 (register by March 3rd) Knappa High School

Fee Waivers:
Fee waivers are available for students who are burdened by the ACT test fee.  Please see a counselor to obtain a fee waiver.  In order to qualify, a student must be on or qualify free or reduced lunch, be a member of Upward Bound or Talent Search, or have a financial hardship.  See a counselor for more information.

Essential Skills:
ACT scores can be used to meet the Reading, Writing, and Math Essential Skill Graduation Requirements in Oregon.  See a counselor for more information.
