Welcome to Biology
Biology is a survey course of basic biology principles and foundational processes of life. The course will survey the nature of science, biochemistry, cells, cellular function, membrane structure, membrane transport, feedback mechanisms, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, DNA, protein synthesis, genetics, cell division and evolution. Biology is a rigorous lab-based science class. Class work will include the incorporation of new vocabulary, background and enrichment reading, projects, in-class activities, quizzes, and tests. There will be a final exam at the end of each semester.
