About Us

East High FIRST Robotics is a robotics program at East Anchorage High School, in Anchorage, Alaska. East High robotics was established by teacher Michael Fenster and participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).  After a several year hiatus, the robotics program was re-established by teacher and then science club sponsor, Heather Roach.

The East High FIRST Robotics program is part of the international For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) organization. FIRST is dedicated to inspiring students worldwide to take on real-world scientific and technical challenges that help prepare them to make creative solutions for technical problems in their world. Our teams design, build, and program robots to compete in several FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) tournaments throughout the year.

Our program began with one team, FTC 3360 “Team Caffeine”  comprised of five students and their determined science club sponsor and has expanded to several teams and approximately 20 students. Our program boasts of a rich history and “tradition of excellence”. Click on team pages to learn more about the individual teams of East High FIRST Robotics.
