  • What is message from ARYANET Trust to the members?
Nothing is impossible with the combined efforts of the community members, which is our belief and also the strength of the ARYANET Trust to undertake the project of an Engineering College. We have initiated the project with the objectives set with purity of intention and full faith. Everyone can be a part of this great endeavor by contributing and supporting the project and be part of the making the dream a reality.
  • Why ARYANET considered an Engineering College project?
There is high demand for professional courses in Kerala, and many students from the community are pursuing Engineering courses within and outside Kerala. A considerable number of students from the district are depending on Coimbatore, Erode and Salem based Engineering institutes due to lack of sufficient Engineering institutions within the Palakkad district.
  • What kinds of entities are allowed to establish and run Engineering Colleges in India?
Other than the Central and State Governments, only charitable trusts or societies are allowed to start and run Engineering colleges as per the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) norms.

The following is the excerpt from the AICTE 2010 Handbook.
  1. A Society registered under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 through the Chairman or Secretary of society, or,
  2. A Trust registered under the Charitable Trusts Act 1950 or any other relevant Acts through the Chairman or Secretary of the trust, or,
  3. Central or State Government / UT Administration or by a Society or a Trust registered by them or under Public Private Partnership mode through an officer authorized by Central or State Government / UT Administration.
  • How to achieve a good name for the institute?
For the success of the Engineering College, an “institute with a difference,” it is essential to recruit the best faculty, have to extend attractive salaries to them and need to provide good facilities (which are considered). It is essential to provide quality environment for teaching, learning and research.

The aim is to create and evolve an “institute with a difference” in the field of technology and research through innovation, by creating required modern infrastructure and competent faculties thus becoming a part of the growth of society and the nation at large.

The vision is to make the institute as an abode of global education where international level of quality training is imparted and, technocrats are equipped with the latest in technologies to take up the challenges of the technologically advancing world.
  • How will the trust be informing the members on the developments?
There will be regular newsletters and emails to reach out to the members.
  • Can we dream that the Engineering College will be a pioneer institute of Kerala?
The Engineering College will be built as a pioneer institute in the technical education field in Kerala. When this dream materializes the college will attain a status in technical education field with international standards.

Each department will be established with modern infrastructure, laboratories and research facilities, adding immense value along training the students in a best possible manner and to provide opportunities for good placements and entrepreneurship.
  • Who will be managing the Engineering College project?
The college project is the beginning of the dream to change the status of the community within the society. The project is not managed by one or two persons. There will be an expertise team of eminent personalities from different walks of life associated with the project who have proved their capabilities in technical education, industry and management fields.
  • How is the response on the appeal for supporting the noble venture?
The very concept of the Engineering college project was first shared with the community on 3 Jan 2010. Within 10 months in October 2010 members have wholeheartedly come forward to take ownership of the project supporting an ambitious project for the benefit of the future generations.

ARYANET has made history by reaching out to hundreds of families across various settlements and bringing the community under one umbrella.

Members from UK, USA, Gulf (Dubai, Muscat, Bahrain, Qatar, ...), Nairobi, Algeria, Singapore, Bangalore, Madras, Bombay, Pune, Thane, Surat, Coimbatore, Cochin, Trivandrum, Koduvayoor, Kollengode, Vellengy, Moothanthara, Vadakkanthara, Pattikkara, Karippod, Panangattri, Chittur, Ethanur, Kongad, Cheraya, Parasseri, Peringode, Katampazhipuram, Mannampatta, Mangalamkunnu, Sreekrishnapuram,Thippalamunda, Thiruvazhiyode, Mangod, Mannarghat, Karimba, Chethallore, Pulapetta, ..., have worked very hard for the last 10 months to make this happen.

The meticulous planning to reach out to the nooks and corners of the community especially within Palghat district is commendable and unparalleled. Over 650 homes have been visited in the last 10 months in Palghat district alone.

Year 2011 is a very crucial year for ARYANET. Several parallel activities towards building an “Engineering College With a Difference” will be undertaken (construction of basic infrastructure as per the AICTE requirements).
