I think that it is important to take art back from the establishment. Rather than have anyone interpret my work it is intentionally specific, aiming at insecurities and traditional, formalism with kitsch and offensive imagery and, without apology. I find pleasure in the juxtaposition of clichés with the unexpected; further, dangling representational elements in the path abstracted design motifs is my intention. Working with papers and paint, in fact, working with papers and any mark-making tool within the realm of Western color models, is my way of utilizing the ideologies of line and chromatics. These works, each Mixed-Media, speak to culture and democracy, using the fabric of my psychological experience with the materials of a consumer society.
