Nava Ron - Artist Statement

"Anywhere But Here", a book by Mona Simpson I once read because of its title. This expression (without any connection to Simpson's book…) is about wanting to be in other place, having other things, other life.
In other words: Not loving what is.
Not living in now.
Not living this moment. Not living a full life, but partial-absence-missing life.
It means lacking, devoid, discontentedly, continuous searching for the other thing, the next thing.
When I dream about the other place, I'm not here.
