ARTIST’S STATEMENT
מירב טלאור, אמנית ישראלית - צלמת, משוררת ופרפורמרית. אני עוסקת רבות ב בחקירת היחסים שלי עם גופי, והיחסים של הגוף עם העולם. כצלמת אני נוטה לצלם את גופי העירום בסיטואציות ובווריאציות רבות ומגוונות. דרך הגוף אני לומדת את עצמי, ודרכו אני מגלה את היופי שב'כיעור', המושלם שבלא מושלם, הרוח שבחומר, החיים שבמוות, הקדוש שבשפל, המעודן שב'בוטה', והמגוחך שברציני. בכל פעם מתגלים לי דברים חדשים שאני יכולה להפיק מהגוף, והוא משמש לי כר יצירה נרחב, כלי ביטוי - לכאב, לשמחה, להומור - כמו גם אפשרות לומר את עצמי לעולם. בין השאר אני עוסקת במיניות. אני מוצאת שמיניות היא נושא כמעט לא מדובר - על הכאב שבו, כמו גם על העונג שבו. אחת הפרקטיקות העיקריות שלי - בחיים וביצירה - היא ההחצנה והחשיפה. ההוצאה של הדברים מן החושך אל האור. אני שואפת לגלות ולבחון מחדש כל מה שאינו מדובר, כל מה שהוא 'טאבו', כל מה שלימדו אותנו להסתיר או להתבייש בו. לכן גם אני כותבת ומדברת באופן חופשי על מיניות. ולעתים ההחצנה של המיניות היא מתוך הומור וקריצה. כמו כן, אני מאמינה שגניחות וקולות אורגזמיים הם מפתח לריפוי. לצערנו, קולות אלה משום מה נחשבים כשייכים רק לתחום הסקס, ועל כן נזנחים לרוב. אני רואה בהם הבעה של עונג, כל עונג, וזרימה של חיים בכל הגוף. אני חשה כי כאשר אני מבטאת קולות אלו, גם מחוץ להקשר המיני, אני מרפאת את עצמי. לכן אף פיתחתי שיטת ריפוי שנקראת 'הקול האורגזמי'. את הסרטונים שאני שולחת כאן ניתן לראות בכמה רבדים. תוכלו לראות מעין פרודיה על סרטוני פורנו. באותו זמן, כל סרטון עשוי להביע דבר מה. כמו למשל: רמיזה עד כמה אנחנו 'מאוהבים' בנראות החיצונית (דרך האיפור שלנו לדוגמה). ובאופן כללי, מוצעת האפשרות להתבונן על כל דבר בחיים כבעל פוטנציאל אורגזמי. בסרטונים אלה שילבתי את האהבה שלי לגניחות, עם הומור ומשחקיות, ועם אמירה רצינית בו זמנית.
Merav Tal-Or, an Israeli female artist – photographer, poet and performer. I am very involved in exploring my relationship with my body, and my body's relationship with the world. As a photographer, my main art is photographing my naked body in many varied situations and variations. Through the body I learn about myself, discover the beauty in ‘ugliness’, the perfect in the imperfect, the spirit in the matter, life in death, the divine in the lowly, the subtle in the blunt and the absurd in seriousness. Each time, new things are revealed to me that I can derive from my body - which serves as a fruitful creative ground, a means of expression for pain, joy, humor – as well as a way of saying myself to the world. Among other things, I deal with sexuality. I find that sexuality is hardly spoken - neither its pain nor its pleasure. My main approaches – both in life and art – are externalization and exposure; the bringing out of hidden things from darkness into light. I strive to discover and reexamine all that remains unspoken, all that is considered ‘taboo’, all that we've been taught to hide or be ashamed of. That's why I also write and talk freely about sexuality. And sometimes the externalizing of sexuality is out of humor or with a little wink. Also, I believe that moans and orgasmic sounds are therapeutic. Unfortunately, for some reason, these voices are considered to belong only to the realm of sex, and are therefore usually abandoned. I see them as a way to express pleasure, any pleasure, and an expression of life flow throughout the body. I feel that when I express these voices, even outside the sexual context, I heal myself. That's why I even developed a healing method called the "orgasmic voice". The videos I submit here can be seen in several layers. You can see a kind of parody on porn movies. At the same time, each video may express something. For example the makeup case video - may imply how much we are "in love" with our visibility ; And in general, the videos suggest the option of looking at everything in life as having an orgasmic potential. In these videos I combined my love for moans, with humor and playfulness, while making serious statements at the same time.
