Welcome to Ms. Tugas' Music/Chorus page!

Welcome back for another great year of music making! Please check our "Just for Fun" section, as our list of music tools is always evolving. Also, I ask families to look at the Upper Elementary General Music Google Classroom frequently. There are lots of activities that can be extended at home. As always, jtugas@arsu.org is your 24/7 connection for questions.  Here's to a fresh new year filled lots of music making!

What are we doing?
To be announced!

We need materials!
We always need lots of props, costumes and sets to make our shows look their best. Anything from jellybeans to stage mics will help! An extended list of materials we're looking for will be included in the orientation packet, but here are the materials we're always looking for:

  • Canvas and wood (plywood, 2x4, rods) for set building
  • Rope for set building
  • Carpet tubes
  • As much paint (acrylic is best) as you can spare!
  • Flat cardboard or large cardboard boxes
  • White gloves (we'll probably need 12 or more pairs)
  • "Old-fashioned" clothing in children's sizes.
  • Red, orange and yellow fabric (China silk or chiffon - anything that is light)

...and that's just to start! Please email Ms. Tugas for a full list of donation materials. If you have any of these items and would like to donate to either Magic Castle or K-3 Drama, please contact me at jtugas@arsu.org or have your student drop of the materials to the Music room.

If you are struggling with a part and would like some materials to practice with at home, please check Youtube. Other music teachers have made much of the score available online as sing-along/karaoke tracks.
