1st Grade Research

First graders learned about the difference between narrative and informational nonfiction books.  First graders chose an informational nonfiction book and used their knowledge about the table of contents and index to ask a research question that could be answered using the book they chose.  The students then took notes from the book and rehearsed their questions and their findings for a green screen video clip.  All* the students chose their background and filmed with the help of our very skilled student directors Sydney and Nell (5th grade library helpers who volunteer during their recess!).
*The videos on this webpage are students who turned in their video permission form.   If you would like your student's video to appear please email me: wellss@arps.org (Susan Wells)
