Please send in any 500 ml (typical size) water bottles possible. We need them for a water filter system students will be creating in our upcoming science unit. We need at least 1 bottle per student.Thank you!!
We hope you can join us for a fifth grade author share on Friday, December 2nd, 9:00-9:45 am. You can read our stories, chat with the authors and enjoy some refreshments. This is typically a wonderful experience for our students and guests...we hope you can make it!
Fifth graders will be taking a test on chapter 4 in social studies on Tuesday, Nov. 15th. Their informational picture books need to be finished on Nov. 22nd.
There has been a homework change tonight. The math page that was handed out on Monday stated that Homelinks 3-5 was tonight's homework. However, we have not yet taught that lesson so there is no math page for homework. Tonight's homework is only reading.
Tomorrow fifth graders will begin this year's work in social studies. There is an excellent website for students that accompanies this curriculum. Teachers will be instructing students how to login. The login information can be found under the "resources" link on this website.
Pick-up times for bus #18 have changed. The bus will be arriving 5 minutes earlier to each bus stop. The afternoon drop-off time will remain the same.
We decided to push back the math test to Thursday, October 27th.
Students will compete a math test for chapter 2 on Tuesday, October 25th. They can use their homework books or math journals to help prepare for the test.
Conferences begin next week. Wednesday, October 19th, Friday, October 21st, and Monday, October 24th, are all early release days.
