In preparation for the 2017-18 school year

TOUR OF THE SCHOOL FOR NEW STUDENTS

Interim Principal Dr. Wood will be conducting a tour for incoming new students/parents on August 14, 2017 at 9 AM. Please join us if your student(s) would like to preview the school. (Note that the date *may* change to a later day due to summer construction at OMS. Watch for a school announcement during the summer or contact Caryn Gillis to confirm

                7th grade : Supply List for all 7th grade students

                8th grade: Supply List for all 8th grade students

                            All Language Classes:
  • A 3-ring BINDER (could be shared with other classes)
  • Paper (either loose or in a notebook) inside the binder
  • Pencils with erasers and small pencil sharpener
  • Colored pencils and/or highlighters
  • 3-hole puncher (a small one that fits in your binder is best)

Please RECYCLE old supplies if they are in good condition and could 
last another year!



BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD)


Ottoson Middle School is pleased to offer our students BYOD or Bring Your Own Device access to the Arlington Public Schools Information technology network. Although all students at OMS grades 6 - 8 have this option, there are some differences in the program depending on whether a student is in 6th grade or 7 - 8th grade. CLOTHES SHOPPING

When shopping for school clothes please remember the new 

Ottoson Dress Code

  • Safe and proper footwear.
  • No clothing that is imprinted with vulgar or obscene language or artwork that relates to alcohol, drugs, or smoking.
  • No hats, bandanas, or other headgear
  • Chests, stomachs, and buttocks must be fully covered at all times.
  • Undergarments should not be visible at any time. Straps less than two fingers must be covered.
  • No sunglasses.
  • No slippers, face paint, or costumes.
