Week of February 13
We are working on the Renaissance artist research paper every day in class this week, and every day the week after we return from February break.    Please be prepared each day with all research notes and packets.  There will be no quiz this week.

Wed:  TYPED, PRINTED OUTLINE DUE (extended due to snow day).  The outline must be complete BEFORE you write a rough draft.
Fri.:    ROUGH DRAFT DUE AT END OF PERIOD. I will give instructions that day on how to share the paper with me.

Over break, there will no required work for the paper!   When we return, students will work on their final drafts every day in class, and for homework.

Week of December 19
This week students will be working on a Crusades Journal.  Students should not need to spend more than 15 minutes a night working on the journal; the goal is to use class time as efficiently as possible this week, so the Journals are done by Friday at the end of the class period.  I have outlined below the expectations, but I will adjust during the week if necessary.

Monday: complete the reading on the back side of Pope Urban's speech.  Choose which character you want to be for your journal and complete an identity chart for that character (peasant, knight, noble, or monk).  Choose whether you are going on crusade or not.
Tuesday:  Complete Crusades map (we started this on Friday); Complete graphic organizer of Entry #1 in class and work on draft of Entry #1.
ADJUSTED DEADLINES!    OUR NEW GOAL IS THAT THREE ENTRIES ARE COMPLETE BY THE END OF THE PERIOD ON FRIDAY.  THE FINAL PROJECT WILL BE COLLECTED AFTER THE BREAK.
Wednesday: Finish draft of Entry 1, work on for 15 minutes at home.
Thursday: Complete Entry #2.  Work on for 15 minutes at home.
Friday: Work on Entry #3 in class.    NO QUIZ!
