The National Honor Society started in 1921 and is a service organization whose intent is to recognize high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The Appomattox Regional Governor's School - National Honor Society has participated in several organized activities: Virginia Blood Services Blood Drive, Pennies for Patients, Relay for Life and the Peanut Butter Drive. The National Honor Society has also helped in several school sponsored activities such as: Adjudication for prospective students, Shadow Day, The Beth Davis Scholarship Gala, Pr-Registration for Incoming Freshmen and Graduation.
