– The Aquinas College Men's 4x800 Meter Relay team comprised of Nick Thelen, Grant Gunneson, Dustin Heiler and Caleb Teachout won the 4x800 Meter Relay at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Marion, Indiana. In school record fashion (7:27.97), the Saints recorded Aquinas College's first ever National Championship in a relay event. The foursome combined to cut nearly nine seconds off the previous school record which was recorded at the 2011 Outdoor Championships when the Saints finished in fourth place. The Saints missed a national championships record by a little over a second.

The Saints also saw great performances from the Men's & Women's 4x100 Meter Relays. Both squads advanced on time to tomorrow's final. The men recorded the third fastest time in school history and the fastest time since 2001 (40.92). The foursome of Blake Garvey, Ryan Parminter, Jake Sanders and Rumeal McKinney will compete at 2:50 in tomorrow's final. The foursome of Madison Koenig, Samantha DeStefano, Dana Kolnitys and Joordn Hall ran a 47.33 -- the fourth fastest time in school history. The women's final will be competed at 2:40 p.m. tomorrow.

Ryan Helminiak narrowly missed All-American honors as he cleared 6-6 and placed 9th in the High Jump, while Erika Heston placed 16th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time a 15.19.

Final day action starts at 6 a.m. with Emily Sandula competing in the women's marathon and concludes with Emily Smith in the discus.
