– The Men's 4x100 Meter Relay and Emily Smith brought home All-American honors on the final day of competition at the NAIA Outdoor Championships.

The quartet of Blake Garvey, Ryan Parminter, Jake Sanders and Rumeal McKinney placed 7th in the 4x100 meter final to earn All-American recognition. The performance (40.88) was the finest in Aquinas history as the foursome broke the previous record by .01. A fitting end to the great careers of Garvey, Sanders and McKinney.

Emily Smith recorded her third consecutive All-American performance in the discus. The junior from Port Huron placed third at the 2012 Championships with a toss of 153-1.

In other action on Saturday, the Women's 4x100 Meter Relay narrowly missed All-American status by placing 9th in the final. Madison Koenig, Dana Kolnitys, Samantha DeStefano and Joordn Hall moved the baton around the track in 47.52 (#5 All-Time). Emily Sandula ran the third fastest marathon in Aquinas history as the senior placed 18th in a time of 3:17:46, while Jordan Gerard missed the opening height in the men's pole vault.

In all the Saints walked away from the championships with nine All-Americans, two school records and the national championship in the Men's 4x800 Meter Relay. A great conclusion to another fine season by the Saints!!!
