Saints Ignite "Cherry" Bomb

– Jeff Cherry, a true freshman, breaks out of the shadows and paces the Saints to a 9th place finish at the Michigan Championships. Cherry, who ran a personal best by 78 seconds (25:24), owned the course at the Gainey Complex on Friday night.

Also running a personal best was sophomore Blake Bitner who placed 41st with a time of 25:56. The Saints also received strong scoring performances by Andrew Libs (26:25 - 62nd), Zach Stepanovich (74th - 26:40) and Bradley Perschbacher (76th - 26:43).

The Saints will come to the line as a whole team next Friday as Aquinas will travel to Mishawaka, Indiana to compete in the Bethel Invitational.
