Be aware that services other than Gmail, Docs, Groups and Sites are supported by Google themselves, and any information that you publish with your @apu.edu account is subject to APU policy and removal should your account with APU ever be terminated.
Yes, your APU Gmail account and any personal Gmail account you may have remain separate. You can continue to access both independently.
Yes. However your browser can get confused about which account you are trying to access.
If you'd like to be able to sign in to multiple accounts in the same browser, you can enable the multiple sign-in setting. This will allow you to sign in to more than one account using the same browser session.
Note, there are a few caveats with this feature, for instance if you happen to use offline mode, you will be unable to take advantage of this feature. You can instead sign in to each Google account from a separate browser.
