What May Be, Will Be

This month Mrs. Jacque will take on the role of lead teacher during the first week of May. The following weeks will be devoted to assessment, finals, goals, and a little bit of fun! You all deserve it!!

Stay tuned to upcoming announcements from Mrs. Amber in regards to planned activities with our friends, including a group celebration for Marco and Gabriel as they move on to La Cueva high school.

Everyday Facts:

  • We will continue to meet at 9:15 everyday. Yes! Mondays too!

  • Mondays are for Advisory and Social Communication.

  • You will have Drama, Tech, or PE on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

  • Don't forget Mrs. Amber may ask you to work 1:1 in the afternoons or you can ask for help at that time. :)

This month we will not have a general focus, but take the time to wrap up lessons and show Mrs. Amber and Mrs. Jacque all we have learned during the 2020-2021 school year at Desert Ridge Middle School (both online and in-person). The following information states each weeks theme that will shape our schedule up to the final week of school

Finals Week- We will have our normal schedule with at least one final per subject a day. Don't worry, it will be fun!!

Brigance Week- We will have our normal schedule with Brigance in place of some of our goal times.

Hi! I'm Ms. Dani and I love working at DRMS! When I'm not working with the kids I am an author and I love to draw. I am passionate about my friends and family and am always seeking out new and exciting adventures.Ms. Dani's favorite things: Barnes and Noble, tea, chocolate gelato, and sushi!

I am married to David and I have a son who is 29, a son who is 21, a step son who is 25 and another step son who is 36. We have two small dogs; a Yorkie and a Shih Tsu. We like to ride our motorcycle and spend time at our cabin. We live with my dad to take care of him. I have a business degree and I decided I want to teach now and I am in a special program to help me obtain my teaching certification.

My full name is Amber Renee Deininger-Feathers. I have been married 13 years to my awesome husband who works as an lead editor and content writer for multiple online companies. We have two children: a five- year old daughter named Violet and a three- year old son named Rook. We have four fluffy dogs and two gunea pigs helping to make our home a full house.

This is my eighth year working as a Social Communications and Support and Services teacher at DRMS. Before teaching I worked in a locally-owned camera store. I have both a BFA in Fine Arts (Painting) and a Masters in Special Education. I am currently a Tier 3 licensed teacher and hold a TESOL endorsement (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Mrs. Amber's favorite things: Coffee, Target, old movies, old cameras, (and dogs!!).
