Chemistry is a branch of physical science that studies the composition, structure, properties and change of matter. Chemistry includes topics such as the properties of individual atoms, how atoms form chemical bonds to create chemical compounds, the interactions of substances through intermolecular forces that give matter its general properties, and the interactions between substances through chemical reactions to form different substances.  This website was designed to provide you with a study tool and a place where you can get information that you missed while absent.  When you click on each unit, you will find the main ideas, misconceptions, vocabulary, notes and other resources for each unit.

Several documents are attached below including safety contract, class expectations, what we learn in chemistry (TEKS), and how to effectively write in science (CER).

Click on the link below to access STEMscopes.  This website is a fantastic resource!  It's basically like an online textbook.  It has the text (called STEMscopedia), picture vocabulary, progress-monitoring assessments, tons of connections, review games, and assessments to see if you understand the content.  And, there is even a free app you can download!

The student username/password is the same for all Wylie logins (like to log on to a computer in the library).
