Seniors: Graduation practice will be held on Friday, June 1st from 8-10am beginning in the auditorium. There will be refreshments served after practice before we board the buses to Valleyfair. If you didn't sign up for Valleyfair but would like to go, please see Mrs. Koester today.

Seniors: If you haven't filled out an exit survey, please grab a hard copy in the Guidance Office.

IMPORTANT: Seniors, you only have a couple days to save your Google Drive documents. Please see Ms. Winkelman in the computer lab for information on saving your documents using Google Takeout. After June 15th, 2018 your school Google account will be inactivated and your documents will no longer be available.

Any seniors with outstanding fees or un-served detention must remember that you are not able to participate in graduation unless all obligations are met.

Attention Seniors: All books checked out from the Media Center need to be returned by Thursday, May 17th. Any books not returned will be assessed a fee. In order to participate in the graduation ceremonies, all fees must be paid prior to graduation.

All students: Many employers have been contacting us for job opportunities for both summer and long-term employment. Please check the Guidance Office window closest to the copy room.

Attention all students who have failed required classes for graduation: Foley HS will again be offering a summer school opportunity to recover credits. Summer school classes will be offered in the morning starting in June. If you are behind in credits and are interested in a summer school credit recovery opportunity, pick up the paperwork in the guidance office ASAP. This program is first come first served, and you must have paperwork back to the guidance office and signed by a parent or guardian in order to register. See Ms. McIntire or Mr. Dahlstrom with questions.

Seniors attending any post-secondary school next year: If you did not request your FINAL transcript yesterday in Advisory via parchment (Hold for Grades), you will need to complete this request ASAP. Please see Sabine in the Guidance Office for directions or assistance. Many colleges will not allow you to register without your FINAL transcript.

A representative from Superior Lake College will be here on Monday. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office for a pass.

Seniors: Please see Mrs. Koester in Room 326 to sign up for the Senior Banquet. The cost is $10 and the banquet will be held on Sunday, May 6th at 5:45pm at Henry's Catering.

Seniors: Please let Sabine know in the Guidance Office by Tuesday, May 22nd, any form of recognition from a college, university, company or civic group that you would like in the graduation program. Please also confirm with Sabine if you have committed to a branch of Military.

Seniors: If you'd like to receive a "Senior Plaque" at the Night of Excellence Banquet this year, please submit the form which can be found in the Activities Window. Plaques are free of charge. Deadline for ordering the plaque is Friday, May 4th. Seniors with late submissions may still get a plaque, but it will not be awarded at the banquet.

Seniors: Sign up for the lock-in before May 11th to guarantee T-shirt sizes and all the prizes. You can sign up until the day of, but you may not receive the prizes if you wait.

Seniors: The confirmation deadline for many colleges is May 1st. Please take time prior to May 1st to confirm your enrollment at the college you plan to attend.

Seniors: Please plan to arrive at school by 8:45am and report to the main entry tomorrow to pick up your caps and gowns. You will spend the day together in the gym and should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes to be able to move and enjoy yourselves.

Seniors: The St. Cloud Morning Optimist Club would like to present a $500 Optimist Scholarship to an FHS senior. If you are a person who is optimistic, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office for an application. The deadline is May 3, 2018.

9-12th graders: 2018 Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) - Experience college life by living on campus for a week, gain leadership experience to set yourself apart, explore potential college and career paths, network with professionals from top MN businesses, learn how to run your own business, learn about scholarship opportunities, have fun and meet new people. $150 if applications are received prior to April 15th or $200 after that date. (Financial assistance available to those who qualify). See Sabine in the Guidance Office for application and more information. Dates are July 8-13 (St. Cloud State University), or July 22-27 (St. John's University, Collegeville).

The Foley Ambassador committee is now accepting applicants for the 2018 Foley Ambassador program. Applicants must be ages 16-20 by June 1st. If you are looking for a great opportunity to gain scholarship money, volunteer experience, self-esteem and confidence as well as new friends, then this program is for you! Information packets and applications are available in the Guidance Office and the deadline is Thursday, April 19th. There will be a short informational meeting on Tuesday, April 10th at 3:00pm in the Guidance Office where you can hear more information and ask any questions. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to represent the city of Foley as a Foley Ambassador!

Seniors - If you are looking at a Technical College or Community College - SPARK is offering five $1,000 scholarships for students attending a 2 year college or less in Manufacturing, Construction Trades, Health Care, Business Services, Auto Body, Culinary, Arts, Hospitality Management, Law Enforcement, and other 2 year programs. Seniors - Please submit your baby/childhood picture to be used in the senior slideshow this week. We're planning to finish this project soon but we can't do it without you!

If you have not ordered your cap, gown and tassel yet, please see Mrs. Koester in room 326 to get this done. The cost is $25 for the package deal.

Attention Seniors - We will be doing a segment for the yearbook of recreated childhood photos! Find an old picture of you and your friends/classmates, and do your best to recreate the pose/clothing. Submit your handiwork no later than Monday, Feb. 12th for a chance to be included in the senior section of the 2018 yearbook. Have fun!

Juniors & Seniors - St. Cloud Technical and Community College will be hosting a Forecast Your Future event which will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 28. The day will highlight SCTCC's Culinary programs. The event will start with registration and welcome at 8:30am, with hands-on activities/demonstrations following from approximately 9-11:30am. The rotations will include Food Art, Cupcake Decorating, and Career Modeling. There will also be a presentation made by SCTCC Admissions staff. SCTCC culinary students are preparing an excellent pasta lunch and will serve from 11:30-noon. The afternoon will include a tour of an industry partner from approximately 12:30-2:00pm. If you are interested in attending this event, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office. Space is limited.
