Any Junior interested in applying fot the ExCEL Award, please see Mr. Dahmen or Sandy in the Main Office. Applications are due by Dec. 7th. ExCEL - Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership - is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota High School Juniors who are active in high school activities, who show leadership qualities, and who volunteer in their communities. Nominees must: 
a). be a Junior in high school
b). make satisfactory progress toward graduation
c). participate in a MSHSL fine arts and/or athletic activity
d). hold a leadership position(s) in their school
e). work voluntarily in their community

Juniors and Seniors: East Central Energy (ECE) will send two students to Washington, D.C. for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, June 9-14, 2018. This all-expense paid trip helps students understand government and its role in the history of rural electric cooperatives. Students visit the Capitol and meet their senators and representatives, tour our nation's monuments and museums and meet other teens from around the country. You are able to complete the entire process electronically and return the materials by email. Please call Desiree at 1-800-254-7944, ext. 8031, or by email at desiree.cuda@ecemn.com for an application or questions. Application packets must be completed and returned to ECE by February 12. Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges, and the top two students will each receive the trip to Washington, D.C.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: You are allowed 2 college visits per year. A reminder that you must follow the procedures in using your college visit days:
1) Submit to the office written permission from your parent/guardian; 2) pick up an absentee homework log from the office; 3) these arrangements must be made in advance of your college visit. Students who do not follow these procedures will be unexcused and subject to detention or in-school suspension.

Juniors and Seniors - If you are interested in taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test on Tuesday, November 21st, please return your permission form by Tuesday, November 14th to Sabine in the Guidance Office.

There will be a Junior class meeting on Tuesday morning beginning at 7:30am in Ms. Keating's room.

Juniors & Seniors: A representative from Winona State University will be here on Tuesday. Please see Sabine in the Guidance Office for a pass if you are interested in meeting with the representative. 

Juniors & Seniors: Bemidji State University will be here on Wednesday. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office.

Juniors & Seniors: A representative from University of Minnesota - Crookston will be here on Tuesday. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office for a pass.

Juniors: Junior Class shirts will remain on sale through conferences on Thursday evening in Ms. Keating's room. Cost of shirts is $10.

There will be a full Junior class/Prom Committee meeting at 7:30am on Tuesday morning in Ms. Keating's room for any members of the Junior class who are interested in being involved with planning the 2018 Prom as well as fundraising and service projects throughout the school year.

Junior Class t-shirts will go on sale beginning tomorrow during both A and B lunches and will remain on sale through Monday, November 6th. The cost of shirts will be $10. You will need to pay for your shirt in order for a shirt to be ordered for you. Your Junior class officers will be making the rounds during lunches to take your order. If you have not been able to find one of them before the end of the day Monday, please see Ms. Keating in Room 328 to pay and place your order.

Juniors and Seniors: The next ACT Test will be Saturday, December 9th with a registration deadline of Friday, November 3rd to avoid a late fee. To register, go to act.org.
