Attention Juniors: If you are interested in a health related career in the future (Cardiovascular Technology, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Nursing (ADN), Practical Nursing, Paramedicine, Sonography and Surgical Technology). Ms. Score is taking students to St. Cloud Technical College and St. Cloud Hospital on Thursday, January 24th. We have a few spots left. Please see Sabine if you are interested in this field trip.

Attention Juniors: Junior class T-shirts are still available for purchase on www.henryesp.com until January 6th, 2019. The cost is $10. See Mrs. Keating in room 328A if you are unable to order online.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: You are allowed two college visit days per year. A reminder that you must follow procedures in using your college visit days: 1) submit to the office written permission from your parent/guardian; 2) pick up an absentee homework log from the office; 3) these arrangements must be made in advance of your college visit. Students who do not follow these procedures will be unexcused.

Juniors: Scholarship Opportunity - Minnesota Association of Townships scholarship program - $1,000 - Write an essay on "Sense of the Census Rural Representation at Risk." Applications can be found online at www.mntownships.org or see Sabine in the Guidance Office for more information.

Juniors & Seniors: If you are interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test on Tuesday, November 20th, please let Sabine know in the Guidance Office. This test could be used if you are wanting to enter the military or for Career Exploration.

There will be an additional Junior Class meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15th @ 7:30am to prepare craft items for our service project on Saturday.

There will be a Junior class meeting on Monday, November 12th at 7:30am. Also, there will be a sign-up posted outside of Mrs. Keating's classroom for the I AM THANKFUL FOR service project on Saturday, November 17th. Please sign up for a time frame that works for you.

Juniors & Seniors: St. Cloud Technical College has a "Forecast Your Future" Construction event on Thursday, November 8th. You will be learning more about the following programs in the morning: Architectural Construction Technology, Carpentry, Electrical Construction Technology, Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Land Surveying/Civil Engineering, Plumbing, Water Environment Technologies. Industry tours at McDowall Company, St. Cloud Water Treatment and Frontier Precision in the afternoon. You will need to provide your own transportation for this college visit day. Sign up with Sabine in the Guidance Office if interested. 

Just a reminder that the next ACT Test date is December 8th, 2018 with a registration deadline of this Friday, November 2nd. To avoid a late fee, please sign up by this Friday if you are interested in testing on this date.

Juniors & Seniors: National College Fair - Oct. 24 - 25 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is a great opportunity to get exposed to many local and national colleges. Go to www.gotocollegefairs.com.

A representative from Moorhead State University will be here on Monday. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office.

St. Cloud State University offers ACT test prep courses throughout the year. Course options and dates are available HERE.

Juniors & Seniors: A representative from North Dakota State University will be here today. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the guidance office. 

Juniors: The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) is an optional exam for 11th grade students who test exceptionally well. Any Junior who has tested will on MCA's should be looking at taking the PSAT test. If you are wondering if you should take the test, see one of the counselors. The test will be given at Foley High School on Wednesday, Oct. 10th from 8am-12pm. The registration deadline is this Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. A $16 fee will be required when you register in the guidance office. We have a few fee waivers if you are concerned about the cost. At the time of registration, each student will receive a Student Bulletin which will help them prepare for the test. Please see Sabine in the guidance office to register.

Congratulations to Peyton Kopel, Alicia Shumer, Jayden Kloss and Nathaniel Vanderweyst who will represent the junior class as officers this school year.

All students interested in becoming a member of the junior class/prom committee please stop in Mrs. Keating's room by the end of the day on Monday to find out details about our first meeting.

Juniors and Seniors: St. Cloud State University invites you to our "Be the Broadcaster" event on Wednesday, Sept. 26th! Do you see yourself one day becoming a sports reporter, sitting behind the anchor desk, or running your own radio show? If you are interested in a career in television or radio broadcasting, this is the perfect opportunity to visit campus and check out SCSU's award-winning broadcasting program. You will get to talk with SCSU alumni who are current professionals in the field, participate in tours of our state-of-the-art radio and television facilities, and engage in hands-on experiences with the radio and television equipment.

Final call for applications for junior class office. Those individuals who submitted your application last spring: your applications are still on file with Mrs. Keating. For those who were unable to apply last spring, you will be able to do so until Wed. Sept. 12th @ 3:00pm. Applications can be picked up from Mrs. Keating in room 328A.

Juniors and Seniors: This fall, the College of Saint Benedict will host the area Minnesota Education Fair for Central Minnesota. The program will be offered the morning of Tuesday, September 25th from 9-10:30am. Approximately 90 post-secondary institutions attending at Clemens Fieldhouse, College of Saint Benedict. They will be using Lead Retrieval technology at the fair. Please be sure to sign up ahead of time at www.gotocollegefairs.com to create your personal profile and print off your personal barcode. This will allow you to visit with the college representatives without using that time to complete an inquiry card. There will NOT be an option to create the account on-site.
