Early Intervention ~ provided within an inclusive preschool classroom

Name: Barb Sandersfeld

Grade/Subject: Early Childhood Special Education

Welcome to Early Intervention and the many learning opportunities provided within Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE).

Imagine, Learn, Play

  • My Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teaching philosophy incorporates a strong language and play-based developmental curriculum.
  • I feel that parents and family members are the most valuable members of our team!
  • Play provides the foundation for academic or "school" learning. It is the preparation children need before they learn highly abstract symbols such as letters and numbers. Play enables us to achieve the key goals of our early childhood curriculum. Play Is the work of young children!
  • Family Involvement Makes a Difference!
  • Early years are critical learning years.
  •  I believe collaboration must exist between families, educators, and communities if we are to appropriately meet the diverse needs of our young children.

**Our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program provides services based on the individual needs of each child.**
