I'm Mr. Smith, Welcome Back to School:)

Dear Students and Families,

     Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!  I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher in Second Grade.  I have been a teacher at Cornelia since 2008.  I am excited to be a partner in your child’s growth and development over the next year. Parents, please take a moment to complete my Parent Survey.  This will help me in getting to know your child in order to better teach to their strengths, needs, and interests. I look forward to seeing you all in the coming weeks. Our back to school Open House will be on Thursday, August 21st from 8:00am-9:30am. Attending the Open House is optional because of Connect and Assess appointments. Please be sure you bring your supplies to open house.  This year's supplies include:

          -1 pair of wired headphones (no earbuds/no Bluetooth) - labeled with name

• 2 boxes of tissues 

• 2 containers of disinfecting wipes 

• 1 box of gallon-sized Ziploc bags

• $30 cash or check (made out to Cornelia) - This covers all classroom supplies

     **If you are unable to come to the open house, please bring in the supplies with your child during connect and  assess days.**

Please sign up for Know Your Learner: Connect & Assess Meetings. These 30-minute meetings are being held on the following two days...

-Friday, August 22nd and Monday, August 25th.
