Welcome

Edina Public Schools (“the District”) and Education Minnesota/Edina (“EM/E”) collaboratively have developed the following Edina Teacher Evaluation and Support Program. This program, which meets the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, including section 122A.40, is intended to recognize and support the skilled professionals in Edina Public Schools in their continued professional growth and development. The District and EM/E believe Edina teachers exhibit high levels of professionalism and accomplishment, performing at high levels daily.

Key Probationary Checkpoints 
 
Work with your administrator to schedule the following: 
  • Observation plan by September 30
  • SLG 
    • Develop & Submit by Sept. 30
    • Revisions & Approval by Oct. 15
  • First observation by November 1
  • Second observation by December 20
  • Third observation by March 1
  • Summative Evaluation by May 30
  • SLG summative meeting by May 30


Key Non-Probationary Checkpoints 
 
Work with your coach to schedule the following: 
  • Alt Comp Descriptors September 30
  • SLG
    • Develop & Submit by Sept. 30
    • Revisions & Approval by Oct. 15
  • First observation by December 15
  • Second observation by March 15
  • Third observation by May 15
  • Year 1 & 2 Status Check by May 30
  • Year 3 Summative Evaluation by May 30
  • SLG summative meeting by May 30
