World Read Aloud Day 2019
Every year, World Read Aloud Day calls global attention to the importance of reading aloud and sharing stories. World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words and creates a community of readers taking action to show the world that the right to literacy belongs to all people. It is celebrated by millions of people in more than 100 countries!
Cornelia celebrated WRAD during the week of January 28 - February 1, 2019! We did Skype or Google Hangout sessions with other schools throughout the country. Students read stories to each other and share their favorite books. Unfortunately, the snowstorm and cold weather caused school to be cancelled, so we missed many of our scheduled Skype sessions!
