The Woodbury Middle School Health and Physical Education program is designed to enhance both in the cognitive and psychomotor domains. Our goal in PE is to increase your child's fitness level through a variety of movement activities and cooperative games. Health education will be embedded into the Physical Education class. Students are required 3-6 weeks of Health Education through out the school year. Starting in November, the 8th grade will study human reproduction and the effects of drugs on the body. 7th grade will increase their knowledge about the adverse affects of alcohol on the body and the importance of fitness education. 6th grade will learn about the harmful effects of tobacco and safety and first aid. * Students will be graded this spring on their fitness scores. 4 tests-each 20pts
** Students missing a day of PE class (Dr. note or not) must fill out a "Make Up Form" to regain those points lost.
*** Up coming units (Feb) - Archery, Pool Games, Softball, Fitness Testing.
