Ms. Draayer is the Technology Integration Specialist at Palmer Lake Elementary School.  This is her first year at Palmer Lake and her first year in the Osseo Area Schools District.  Prior to this position, she taught in the classroom with Saint Paul Public Schools.  

Ms. Draayer is a proud Osseo Area Schools graduate, having attended Rice Lake Elementary, Osseo Middle School, and Osseo Senior High.  She got her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Pre-K Certification from Concordia University St. Paul.

What was the last movie you went to? What did you think? 
Doctor Strange! The visual effects blew my mind.   I loved Benedict Cumberbatch as the Doctor, but the Cloak of Levitation stole the show!
Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
When I was in elementary school my family and teammates called me Grace or Gracie because I was so clumsy. 
Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island? Oliver Queen, aka The Green Arrow.  He survival on the Island of Lian Yu was impressive and the beginning of The Green Arrow’s origin story.
What's your favorite zoo animal? 
Polar Bears!
Do you collect anything? 
I have a collection of music boxes and snow globes.  I also collect almost anything superhero related, including comic books.
Who was your favorite teacher in school and why?
 Barb Ollila, my second grade teacher at Rice Lake Elementary.  She saw my potential and challenged me to go above and beyond. 
If you had a warning label, what would yours say? 
This is on one of my favorite shirts: “Warning: Never underestimate the tenacious power of a teacher who is also a cat lady.”
