Dear Woodland Families,

It is time again to get to school the old fashioned way – using our own power! Next Wednesday, October 5th, Woodland will celebrate Walk ‘n’ Roll to School Day. We invite you to walk, bike, scooter or skate to school with your children. The point is for kids to get to school using their own power and energy. What a great way to start their day!

Our school buses will drop students off at Wescott Hills Drive at our bike path to the east of the school so that students who ride the bus will be able to participate.

SACC students will walk the school grounds before school begins.

Students coming from the south can cross Wescott Road at the crosswalk in front of the school where Eagan Police will be on hand for traffic control aiding students. Please be sure to ONLY cross Wescott Road in the crosswalk.

If you typically drive your child(ren) to school, feel free to park in an adjacent neighborhood and escort your kids via one of the walking paths to the school. To the east: Sunrise Hills neighborhood on Wescott Hills Drive; and, to the west: Greensboro neighborhood on Greensboro Drive.

If possible, please support your child(ren) by walking or riding with them to school on Wednesday, October 5th!

In Partnership,
Lisa Carlson
